The **Pink Heals Tour 2010** has made several stops across Illinois, including Rockford, the IAFC trade show in Chicago, Matteson, Naperville, and now Buffalo Grove. Last night, the event brought together three pink fire engines, a Mount Prospect police car adorned with pink graphics, and the Buffalo Grove IAFF Honor Guard. These trucks—two EONE Hush engines and a Spartan FMC Sentinel—previously served in Bangor, ME; Tyler, TX; and Henry, VA.
On their Facebook page, the Pink Heals Tour describes itself as:
*"We are the 'Cares Enough to Wear Pink': Guardians of the Ribbon."*
This group of firefighters, police officers, and community leaders is on a mission to raise awareness about cancer and encourage men to support women in their fight against the disease. Founded by firefighter Dave Graybill in Phoenix, Arizona, the initiative aims to spread hope and solidarity nationwide. The tour invites public safety personnel, local leaders, and citizens to wear pink on October 25, 26, and 27 to show support for those battling cancer. As part of their mission, they believe it's their duty to stand up for those who can't fight for themselves, and they're asking for your help to make a difference.

Firefighter Steve Rusin from the Buffalo Grove Fire Department has been actively involved, selling pink and blue t-shirts to support the cause and raise funds for the tour.
