Working fire in the Lisle-Woodridge FPD, 4-21-20

On Tuesday, April 21, 2020, at 9:01 PM, the Lisle-Woodridge Fire District received an alert from a fire alarm system and responded to 4711 St. Joseph Creek Road in Lisle. Upon arrival, firefighters encountered heavy flames and thick smoke, leading them to classify the incident as a structure fire. After a thorough assessment, it was determined that four units within the building were severely damaged by both smoke and water, making them uninhabitable. One resident from the apartment where the fire originated was taken to Edward Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Fortunately, no other civilians or emergency responders suffered any injuries during the incident.
