Working fire in the Lisle-Woodridge FPD, 4-21-20

On Tuesday, April 21, 2020, at 9:01 PM, the Lisle-Woodridge Fire District received an alert from a fire alarm system and responded to 4711 St. Joseph Creek Road in Lisle. Upon arrival, firefighters encountered heavy fire and smoke, prompting the incident to be upgraded to a structure fire. After a thorough assessment, it was determined that four units within the building were too damaged by smoke and water to be safely reoccupied. One resident from the unit where the fire started was taken to Edward Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Fortunately, no other injuries were reported among residents or first responders.

Firefighters worked tirelessly throughout the night to bring the blaze under control and prevent it from spreading to nearby structures.
