This report comes from Josh Boyajian:
Companies were dispatched to a still alarm at 7115 S. Sangamon on Friday around 7:00 PM. While en route, Engine 54 reported seeing the header and confirmed there was a fire. Upon arrival, Engine 54 quickly contained the situation. The fire was intense, with heavy flames visible, and it had already spread to the exposure in Sector 4. Here are some of my photos from the scene. You can view the full gallery on my website.

From Dennis McGuire, Jr.:
Engine Co. 54 was the first to arrive at 7115 S. Sangamon and found a fire in a 2 1/2 story frame house. They made entry into the building while Truck Co. 20 handled ventilation and search operations. Fortunately, no victims were found, but the fire did spread slightly to 7117 S. Sangamon, which is also a 2 1/2 story frame. The hydrant operator from Engine 54 discovered that the hydrant was frozen, which led to the activation of the Still & Box alarm. Once a water source was secured, crews quickly knocked down the fire.
