Well, we have some good news and some bad news! The bad news is that right now, we don’t have any fire apparatus currently in service in Oak Forest.But our neighbors to the west, the Village of Tinley Park Public Safety and Orland Fire Protection District, IL, are helping us out by letting us use their engines to ensure emergency services continue without interruption.The good news is that we’ve been informed we’ve received funding and approval to purchase new fire apparatus. We’re excited about this and looking forward to moving forward with the process as quickly as possible.
These temporary arrangements are keeping us operational until the new equipment arrives, which is a huge relief for our community. It’s always reassuring to know that local agencies are working together during tough times.
