Introduction & Application of Our PRE Series Planetary Roller Extruder
The "PRE" series planetary roller extruder is designed with a unique configuration where a planetary screw is inter-engaged at the center of a main screw and barrel, which are shaped like helical gears at 45°. The planetary screw revolves and rotates on its axis, allowing for efficient processing of various resins.
This extruder offers multiple applications, making it ideal for sheeting, filming instead of using banbury mixers or open mill mixers, and high-capacity pelletizing, with a capacity reaching up to 2000kg/h.

One of the key advantages is that it can plasticize resin at a lower temperature due to the rolling and extrusion through the inter-engagement space.
Thanks to the inter-meshing action of the toothed planetary roller system, just one revolution of the main spindle can roll out the plastic melt as many as 1,100 times, ensuring optimal plastification, homogenization, and dispersion.

The "PRE" series is a low-temperature forming extruder that produces without any change in properties because of its low-temperature forming and homogenizing capabilities.
Combined rolling and extruding action: the inter-meshing action of the toothed planetary roller system allows one single revolution of the main spindle to roll out the plastic melt as many as 1,100 times, ensuring optimal plastification, homogenization, and dispersion.
Compared to other extruder designs, this system increases the contact surface of the melt by up to five times.
Low-cost formulation: the excellent heat-exchanging effect from the large contact surfaces of the planetary roller system, combined with short residence time of the melt, helps reduce formulation costs significantly. Expensive stabilizers and lubricants can be minimized.
Self-cleaning feature: since all toothed components constantly inter-mesh, no residual material is left in the machine when changing from one formulation to another. Changing color results in no more than 5kg of scrap.

 Double stage extruder:
The first compounding extruder runs at a high speed for good mixing and high output capacity. The second extruder must be a larger diameter single screw one that can run at a lower screw speed. The lower screw can avoid overheating via an internal cooling system and strong heat exchange ability. This functional separation allows operators to more flexibly control the expected material mixing process and temperature.
