This just came in from Drew Gresik. On May 27th, 2016, there was a working fire at a bungalow located at 4236 Leland Avenue in Lyons. When the first engine arrived, they found heavy smoke billowing from the attic. The crew quickly deployed two lines and Riverside Truck 1629 was tasked with opening up the roof. During their search efforts, some birds were successfully rescued. It seemed like the fire was primarily confined to the attic area. Kudos to all the companies on scene for their excellent work.
