The UK-sponsored innovation and cultivation agency "Transport System Ejection Center" announced on the 1st that a project jointly promoted by car companies and academic institutions will try to make unmanned vehicles carry out complex tests on various pavement scenes in the UK and try to make Vehicles better simulate human driving styles.

The project was promoted by companies and institutions such as the University of Leeds, the Renault-Nissan Alliance, and the Transportation System Catapult Center. Unmanned vehicles will be field tested in various environments, such as rural roads and highways in the UK, to see how they perform under different traffic and weather conditions.

According to the center, the unmanned system used by the vehicle will adopt the latest artificial intelligence technology in the industry, and will undergo rigorous testing on the laboratory simulation environment and special test sections before actually conducting the road test.

Mark Westwood, chief technology officer of the center, said that the current application of artificial intelligence in the world of unmanned driving is still in its infancy, and this project will help the UK to promote the development of future transportation technologies.
