Alabama News Center: What is your company’s overall focus and mission?
Caradoc Ehrenhalt: At EV Safe Charge, our mission is to support the global shift to electric vehicles by offering flexible and innovative charging solutions. We believe that clean transportation should be accessible, efficient, and sustainable. Our flagship product, ZiGGY, is a mobile EV charging robot that brings convenience and cost-effectiveness to charging stations. It's equipped with interactive digital screens that can run targeted ads, generating additional revenue for facility owners while enhancing user experience.
ANC: What inspired you to start this company? How do you see your role in the future of energy and tech?
Ehrenhalt: I got my first EV and realized there was a big gap in the market when it came to easy and affordable charging. The dealer didn’t know how to help me install a charger, so I decided to build a better solution. My goal is to make electric vehicles more practical and appealing, helping accelerate the transition to a cleaner, smarter energy future.
ANC: What attracted you to the Techstars Alabama EnergyTech Accelerator?
Ehrenhalt: The strong focus on energy innovation and sustainability, combined with the opportunity to connect with top talent and mentors in the field, made it an ideal fit for us.
ANC: What’s the one thing you want potential investors to know about your company?
Ehrenhalt: Our mobile charging robot, ZiGGY, is already getting significant interest globally. We’ve signed letters of intent and are in active pilot programs with several major clients.
ANC: What do you hope to gain from participating in the Techstars program?
Ehrenhalt: We're looking to expand our network, secure new partnerships, and attract investment to scale our operations and bring our technology to more markets.
ANC: What have you thought of Birmingham so far?
Ehrenhalt: I love it! The energy here is inspiring, and I’m excited to be part of this growing ecosystem.
