Firefighters deal with the cold weather

This message is from Eric Haak:

On Wednesday, I responded to three fires and arrived at each of them later than I would have liked. Still, I wanted to share a few photos from each to honor the brave firefighters who work in these tough conditions. The first image shows the front of a building on the 1500 block of Kostner that was completely covered in soot. It must have been a fierce fire. A dog was rescued from this scene, as seen in the third photo.
The next two images were taken on the 9100 block of South Crandon, another structure fire involving a still and box. The conditions there were really challenging, with snow and ice making it even harder for the crews.
The last photo captures Engine 38 after their second fire of the day on the 1400 block of South Ridgeway. You can see the exhaustion on the firefighters' faces, but also the determination they show every time they respond.
