Dallas Fort Worth International Airport (DFW) has selected ZiGGY, the innovative robotic EV charger from EV Safe Charge, as a key participant in its summer pilot program aimed at exploring next-generation electric vehicle charging solutions. This initiative is part of DFW’s ongoing efforts to support the growing number of electric vehicle (EV) owners who need convenient and reliable charging options while traveling.
ZiGGY stands out as the first and only mobile EV charger designed to provide affordable, safe, and flexible charging for any commercial parking lot, including airports. Beyond just charging, it offers an integrated communication and advertising platform, creating new revenue opportunities for site operators while improving engagement with EV drivers.
This pilot marks a groundbreaking moment, as it is the first of its kind anywhere. From May through August, DFW’s Innovation and Planning teams will conduct a series of EV charging demonstrations, showcasing cutting-edge technologies that could shape the future of EV infrastructure.

Since its founding in 2016 in Los Angeles, EV Safe Charge has provided commercial Level 2 and DC Fast Chargers to major automotive brands such as Jaguar, Porsche, Stellantis, Nissan, Audi, Daimler, and Harley-Davidson. In addition to selling chargers, the company develops temporary charging solutions tailored to large-scale clients.

This DFW pilot comes on the heels of other notable achievements for EV Safe Charge. Recently, Barcelona selected the company as the winner of its pilot-project competition for flexible EV charging, thanks to ZiGGY’s ability to serve multiple vehicles within a single parking area. This marks the first municipal-level pilot of a mobile, robotic EV charger, highlighting the technology’s growing impact on urban mobility.
