Late Friday evening, after 10 PM, there was quite a scene at the intersection of Arlington Heights Road and Dundee Road. Reports came in about a pin-in collision involving a single vehicle and an ambulance. The incident involved a private ambulance that ended up on its side following the crash. Thankfully, there was no patient aboard, but the ambulance did have a crew of three inside at the time.
Fortunately, all three members of the ambulance crew managed to self-extricate before the arrival of firefighters. Meanwhile, the driver of the sedan involved in the accident was transported to the hospital for further evaluation. Firefighters from both Arlington Heights and Buffalo Grove units were dispatched to the scene to manage the situation and ensure everyone's safety.
