Late Friday evening, after 10 PM, there was quite the commotion at the intersection of Arlington Heights Road and Dundee Road. According to Larry Shapiro's report, units from both Arlington Heights and Buffalo Grove were dispatched to a reported vehicle collision involving a single car and an ambulance. It turns out that the private ambulance had been involved in the crash and ended up on its side. Fortunately, the crew of three inside the ambulance managed to self-extricate before the firefighters arrived on the scene. The driver of the sedan, however, was transported to the hospital for further evaluation.
