On Wednesday (8/17/16), I responded to a fire call in Maywood. By the time I got there, it had already escalated to a third alarm, mostly due to the need for more manpower and relief. The structure appeared to be an abandoned single-story wooden house. There was significant fire visible from the outside, which seemed to have spread to a small one-story commercial building in Sector 2. When I arrived, there were plenty of firefighters actively working on the trucks, especially the ladder trucks. The situation was chaotic but under control as the teams coordinated their efforts.

The firefighting effort involved multiple departments, and everyone worked tirelessly to contain the blaze. It was impressive to see how quickly they mobilized and focused on securing the area. Here’s a quick rundown of what I observed:
- Firefighters scaling the ladder trucks to reach the higher parts of the burning structure.
- Crews working diligently on the ground level, ensuring the fire didn’t spread further.
- A sense of urgency and teamwork among all personnel involved.
