On November 18th, the preparatory work for the standard working group of "four-wheel low-speed electric vehicle technical conditions" and the first meeting were held in Beijing. Nearly 100 representatives from relevant state departments, numerous automobile associations and low-speed electric vehicle manufacturers attended the meeting. The meeting was chaired by the Equipment Industry Department of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and the China Automotive Technology and Research Center. The main discussion was to define the basic working group of the standard working group and the standard framework, and put forward requirements for the follow-up work of the working group.
It is worth noting that the meeting discussed and determined the three basic principles laid down in the "Technical Conditions for Four-Wheel Low-Speed ​​Electric Vehicles": First, to meet the needs of four-wheel low-speed electric vehicle specification management; second, to ensure the safety of four-wheel low-speed electric vehicle products. Reduced; the third is to reflect the unique technical characteristics of the four-wheel low-speed electric vehicle. In recent years, low-speed electric vehicles have low prices, low cost of use, strong growth momentum, and continued scale. Statistics show that in 2015, the national output of low-speed electric vehicles was over 700,000. The demand for low-speed electric vehicles in Shandong Province is particularly strong. The cumulative output in the first eight months of this year reached 330,000 units, an increase of 44% compared with the same period last year.
It is understood that in April this year, the "four-wheel low-speed electric passenger car technical conditions" national standard project plan to publicly solicit opinions. After comprehensive opinions, full discussion, communication and coordination, the National Standards Committee officially established the project in October this year and issued a plan for the development of recommended national standards for the "four-wheel low-speed electric vehicle technical conditions." The project has a development cycle of 24 months. It is expected that the national technical standards for low-speed electric vehicles will be officially launched by the end of 2018, and clear technical requirements will be put forward for low-speed electric vehicles, which will help promote the standardized management of low-speed electric vehicles.
