China Drying Network News Recently, the signing and unveiling ceremony of the Joint Laboratory of Synthetic Rubber Application of China Petroleum and Petrochemical Research Institute and Qingdao University of Science and Technology was held at the High Performance Polymer Research Institute of Qingdao University of Science and Technology.
The PetroChina Petrochemical Research Institute-Qingdao University of Science and Technology Joint Lab for Synthetic Rubber is established on the basis of the China Petroleum Synthetic Rubber Pilot Base, which is conducive to enhancing the technical exchanges between the two parties in the field, complementing each other's advantages, and further improving the basic theoretical research and synthesis of synthetic rubber. The development of rubber catalysts and new products for synthetic rubber research, applied technology research, and product development and application research and development chain promote the two parties to make breakthroughs in the original innovation of synthetic rubber, the development of new processes, new technologies and new materials for synthetic rubber applications.
It is reported that before this time, the research institute of high performance polymer of China University of Science and Technology undertook the key technology research project of the application of solution-polymerized styrene-butadiene rubber in high-performance radial tires of the Ministry of Petroleum Technology. In the context of the tire industry in the country actively responding to the European Union's tire labeling law, this project is aimed at research on the application of domestically produced styrene-butadiene rubber (SBR) in tires, making domestically produced styrene butadiene-styrene rubber available for large-scale applications for the first time in the country. From 2,000 tons to 28,000 tons, the project has been listed by the Ministry of Science and Technology as a national science and technology support program. To further deepen cooperation, PetroChina decided to jointly establish a Synthetic Rubber Laboratory by the China Petroleum Institute of Petroleum and Petrochemicals and the High Performance Polymer Research Institute of Qingdao University of Science and Technology.
