Speaking of the fate of Duan Yanchao and Dongfeng Windmill, we must talk about it from twenty years ago.
In the past 20 years , Duan Yanchao saw opportunities for the development of highway logistics and began to run trucks in Zhengzhou.
“The earliest I bought was the first generation of Pingtou Diesel at the FAW Jiefang Plant in Qingdao. At that time, the car did not help the facility. Later I bought the Dongfeng's classic model 140 long nose truck, which is very durable.†Duan Chaochao recalls.
It was this time of purchase that made Duan Yanchao have a hard feelings for the East Windmill.
In 2006, Dongfeng Tianlong new car went public. Out of concern for the East Windmill and the interest of a senior driver, Duan Yanchao conducted in-depth research on the newly-listed Dragon. Through long-term understanding and observation, he determined that this is a very good quality truck and worth buying. Thus, when the car was purchased again in 2010, Duan Yanchao did not hesitate to choose Dongfeng Tianlong, which became his first Tianlong heavy truck.
Today, Duan Chaochao has four Dongfeng trucks – two Dongfeng Tianlong and two Dongfeng Tianjin.

Low fuel consumption is undoubtedly the biggest cost savings for Duan Yanchao who often runs the national road. “A Dongfeng Tianlong truck with a length of 9.6 meters is the national road from Zhengzhou to Hengshui, and basically does not need to pay the toll. Most of the cost of the entire journey is fuel costs, and the freight is 3,000 yuan. Remaining around 2,000 yuan, and from Hengshui back to Zhengzhou, the higher freight income, (remove fuel costs) can remain 3000 to 4,000 yuan.
