Aluminum Round Bars
Aluminum round bars are widely used in industrial applications due to their excellent corrosion resistance, especially in environments containing phosphoric, nitric, chloride, and sulfuric acids. The 6061 aluminum square rod is known for its dimensional stability even at extremely low temperatures, such as that of liquid nitrogen, making it ideal for cryogenic applications. Its high demand stems from its ability to maintain structural integrity under extreme conditions.
For applications requiring maximum ductility, the 6082 aluminum flat bar is an excellent choice. It is produced using ladle refining techniques to minimize sulfur content, ensuring better performance in critical environments. In addition, the 5052 hexagonal aluminum rod is processed under vacuum during the molten state to remove hydrogen, along with some oxygen and nitrogen, enhancing its purity and overall quality.
The 6063 aluminum rod contains small amounts of Tungsten and vanadium, which form carbides and contribute to increased hardness and stability in the final product. Similarly, in 7075 aluminum rods, elements like manganese, silicon, and aluminum are added during the steelmaking process to eliminate dissolved oxygen, sulfur, and phosphorus, improving the material's strength and durability.
Key features of aluminum round bars include:
- High strength
- Corrosion resistance
- Ability to withstand high pressure
- High temperature resistance
- Good dimensional stability
- Long service life
- Resistance to mechanical stress
Available grades include 6061, 6082, 5083, 5086, 5052, 6063, 7075, and 1100. These products meet international standards such as ASTM B221 / ASTM SB221 and are available in various dimensions, including EN, DIN, JIS, ASTM, BS, ASME, and AISI. Sizes range from 5mm to 500mm in diameter and can be manufactured up to 3000mm in length. Surface finishes include black, bright polishing, rough turning, No.4 finish, matte finish, and BA finish.
