Parts supplier Wieberko announced that the company has signed a long-term supply agreement with a major European commercial vehicle manufacturer, which will supply the latter with brake actuators.
It is reported that the brake actuator will be designed by WABCO engineers in India and plans to mass-produce it at the European customer's Thai factory in 2016 for assembly of its new platform trucks listed in Southeast Asia.
Leon Liu, president of WABCO, said that with the company's outstanding engineering design and first-rate manufacturing process at its Rayong plant in Thailand, the company will further expand its global business and the signing of the new long-term supply agreement is a good start.
In addition, according to the existing long-term supply agreement, WAIKO's Rayong, Thailand plant will also manufacture brake actuators for the client's medium- and heavy-duty platform trucks, which is expected to continue until 2021.
