ZF always keeps in mind the intelligent interaction between the three when it innovatively designs the power transmission system, steering system and chassis. The TraXon automatic transmission demonstrated at the 2014 Hannover Commercial Vehicle Show brought together Servotwin's steering system and Openmatics' remote control system, so that trucks can be easily and safely controlled within 25 meters of the truck. In the process of remotely controlling the truck, the vehicle displacement is completely zero displacement, because only the electric power system is in operation during the operation.

With regard to the wide application of this technology, ZF has reached an agreement with its partners at the Hanover Motor Show. In the smart truck era, the driver's attention will not be focused on the truck load, but will focus more on actual driving activities, so that the logistics industry will develop into a larger industry.

Excavating the potential utilization of trucks

This time at the 2014IAA Hannover Commercial Vehicle Show, ZF’s flagship product is the TraXon automatic transmission. This is ZF's first application of double clutch and hybrid systems to heavy trucks. By using intelligent shift strategies such as predictive detection GPS, the TraXon automatic transmission will automatically select the gear by judging the road ahead. Lightweight is also the goal pursued by ZF.

ZF has been focusing on the lightweight production design goals for truck chassis. The continued weight reduction of commercial vehicles can be attributed to ZF's lightweight design of front and rear axles, suspension arms, spring hangers and damping modules. ZF's new heavy-duty independent suspension IS 80 TF is 40 kg lighter than an ordinary independent suspension. The benefits of chassis weighting are many, such as increased load capacity, increased comfort, and reduced spring wear. In addition, ZF lightweight technology can compensate for the weight generated due to the need to comply with the Euro 6 emissions standard installed additional components.
