Analysis on the correct positioning of machine tool fixture

The machine tool for machining the cylinder block of the motorcycle adopts a multi-axis single-station structure, and the clamp is hydraulically clamped to clamp two workpieces at a time. The cooling method uses kerosene cooling and chipping. The slide table is of the HY32B type. The specific hole system of the clamp is processed by coordinate grinding, so that the machine has the characteristics of simple structure, high processing precision, good rigidity, smooth chip removal and long tool life.

The tool uses a 5-blade carbide XW2 reamer with a diameter of 10 mm. The cutter bar 11mm is made of carbon tool steel, heat treated HRC58, and the guide part has a reverse spiral groove with R3 depth of 2mm. It is convenient for the coolant to enter the guide sleeve from the rear of the shank and flow out from the front part of the guide bush to lubricate the guide part and prevent it. The chip enters the guiding portion. The gap between the guide sleeve and the reamer portion is 0.006 mm to 0.015 mm. The guide sleeve is made of carbon tool steel or carbide material. Practice has proved that the life of the carbide guide sleeve is 40 times longer than that of the carbon tool steel guide sleeve, and the price only rises 10 times, and the long-term use is more economical.

The principle of the tool floating device is that the clearance between the reamer portion and the post is 0.01 mm to 0.12 mm, and the clearance between the pin hole of the reamer portion and the pin is 0.5 mm, so that the floating amount of the reamer portion in the post is about 0.1mm, which can eliminate the problem of different axial error of the axis generated by the axis of the multi-axle box spindle and the guide hole axis on the fixture.

The fixture must ensure that the workpiece is properly positioned. According to the structural characteristics of the workpiece and the processing requirements, the two faces of the workpiece on the fixture are positioned to limit the five degrees of freedom of the workpiece through the positioning block and the positioning mandrel. The first degree of rotation in the Z direction (angular positioning) is passed. The cylindrical pin is limited, and the second side is limited by a manual telescopic rotating mechanism composed of a fork positioning pin, a positioning fork, a guide shaft, a spring, etc., so that the workpiece is completely positioned.
