Compared to the AT2900 model, it offers superior penetration capabilities. The system uses a top-to-bottom x-ray configuration, providing a clearer image than side scanning, which enhances the detection of contraband, illegal drugs, weapons, and other hazardous items. It features an automated gantry rail system that moves vehicles through the scanner, ensuring that drivers and passengers remain outside the scanning area, eliminating radiation exposure.
