On May 7, Unilabs, a leading medical diagnostics service company in Europe, signed a cooperation agreement with BGI. The combination of the two institutions will expand and strengthen the current genetic testing services, including the latest technologies such as next-generation sequencing and bioinformatics analysis. This innovative cooperation agreement will help European clinicians make more accurate diagnosis of the disease and improve treatment options in areas such as cancer treatment, cardiovascular therapy and prenatal testing.
It is understood that BGI’s European headquarters is located in Copenhagen, Denmark. The laboratory has 10 high-throughput sequencers to serve its European partners. The cooperation agreement with Unilabs will expand the application of BGI’s advanced genomics technology in European countries, bringing more innovative testing services to local customers.
